2 Great Reasons Why Businesses Need a Good Blog

Just about every major corporation has one. So do quite a few small businesses. If you do a Google search, thousands will appear in less than a second. They are blogs and they are everywhere. They cover every topic known to mankind. Some are business related, others are personal, and others are an unclassifiable breed of their own. However, a number of companies are wondering why they should have a blog at all.

Well, the two biggest, over-arching reasons are marketing and customer service.

A blog can be a low-cost commercial for your company. A blog increases traffic to your website, whether by accident or design. Sometimes, people do a google search with the idea of finding one thing and they click on the link to your blog because it just so happened to have a key word from their search parameters.

Although your blog may not be what they are looking for, they still found it and have been exposed to your company and your product which could  easily grab their interest and they could end up being customers all because they found something they liked that they weren’t expecting to find. (Deep breath)

On the customer service end, a blog is a good way to maintain communication with your customers. A blog can act as a news letter estabishing thought leadershop in your industry or niche. You can talk about new developments  in your company. You can even get feedback from your customers.

At the end of every blog is place to post comments. That spot can turn into a forum where consumers talk to each other about their likes and dislikes concerning the subject that was discussed in the blog article. It is easier to discover topics that pique your customers' interests. Much easier to find out what they need.

A blog is an open dialogue between you and customers. Do not let that opportunity go to waste.
